About LA State Rep. Larry Frieman
Larry has been married for 22 years to Denise Hearn Frieman. They are parents to daughter Savannah and son Lorenzo, and they live in Abita Springs.
He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, District 74, in October 2019, representing portions of St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes. He sits on the House committees on Insurance, Labor and Industrial Relations, and Civil Law and Procedure.
He is a member of the Louisiana Republican
Legislative Delegation, Northshore Delegation and Louisiana Rural Caucus.
Larry earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from LSU Medical Center in 1985 and a law degree from Loyola University in 1992. He practiced as a physical therapist in orthopedics and sports medicine for seven years prior to beginning his practice of law.
He has been practicing as a defense attorney for the past 28 years in the area of workers’ compensation, auto, and premises liability.
Larry has served as an ad hoc workers’ compensation judge in District 1W and as an ad hoc judge in First City Court in New Orleans.
Larry served two terms on the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee, presiding as its chairman for two years.
When not practicing law, working for his legislative constituents, and spending time with his family, Larry enjoys hunting and fishing.
